2007 Michigan Business Tax replaces Single Business Tax, Michigan
Business Tax Surcharge enacted to replace tax on services

2004 Tobacco Products Tax set at 100 mills from the previous 62.5 mills

1994 Proposal A adopted, raising sales and use taxes to 6 percent,
increasing school revenue, and limiting property assessments increases

1993 State Education Tax, levied on all property, not exempt, at the
rate of 6 mills

Tobacco Products Tax established to repeal Cigarette Tax and to now include all non-cigarette smoking tobacco
